Mark Goodwin

Managing Partner

Mark Goodwin is recognised in the market as one of the leading litigation lawyers in the UK acting on major commercial disputes both in the UK and internationally.

He is ranked top tier in the legal directories. Mark advises corporate clients in heavyweight litigation and cross-border disputes.

He focuses on IT and outsourcing disputes, professional negligence claims, disputes under long term commercial contracts and those arising from M&A transactions.

Mark is recognised as notable practitioner in Chambers & Partners UK and also in the Hall of Fame as a leading individual in the Legal 500 directory.

Mark was a senior litigation partner, head of the litigation and regulatory team at the Liverpool office of DLA Piper and part of the UK management team of the litigation and regulatory group for 17 years. In November 2018 Mark retired from the partnership of DLA Piper and founded Provenio Litigation in February 2019.

Hannah Catterall

She has worked on cases with multi-jurisdictional aspects alongside lawyers from different jurisdictions and assisted clients in developing strategy and achieving successful resolutions integral to the commercial success of their businesses.

Praised for her pragmatic, professional and down-to-earth approach, Hannah has experience of all aspects of the litigation process, from pre-action advice through to trial and enforcement of judgments, including mediation.

Hannah trained at and worked for the leading global law firm DLA Piper for over 8 years until her departure in 2019 to join the specialist business litigation firm Provenio Litigation LLP.

Her practice covers a broad range of disputes including professional negligence and breach of contract claims, as well as shareholder and partnership disputes.

She has acted for corporates, pension schemes, banks, a professional football club, local governments and investors, amongst others.

Emma provides tailored and strategic commercial advice to ensure clients achieve the best possible outcome in accordance with their commercial objectives through working with them at an early stage, as well as through all stages of the litigation process, including alternative dispute resolution.

Emma was seconded to the litigation team of a big four clearing bank and also to the Information Commissioner’s Office as part of the Enforcement Team investigating the use of personal data and data analytics to the activities of Facebook and Cambridge Analytica.

Emma is also a former chair of Merseyside Young Professionals.

Emma joined Provenio Litigation LLP in November 2019 after seven years at DLA Piper’s Liverpool office.

Daniel Jude

Consultant

Daniel joined Provenio Litigation LLP in January 2024 from DLA Piper, where he was a partner in the Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations Practice based in Dubai.

 

Daniel specialises in contentious construction and engineering matters on behalf of contractors, sub-contractors, employers and professionals in all sectors of the construction and engineering industry including power, civils, building, rail, nuclear, process and mechanical and electrical engineering.

 

His experience spans a range of different forums including international arbitration, litigation, adjudication, mediation and other forms of ADR.  Current instructions include high value ICC arbitration proceedings in respect of the construction of a LPG Extraction and Fractionation plant and storage facility in Oman.

 

Daniel is a member of the Society of Construction Law (Gulf) and a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has also been named as an 'Accritas Stars' Lawyer based purely on independently rated client feedback.
