Emma Charnock named as Outstanding Lawyer of the Year at Liverpool Law Society Awards

Emma Charnock, Partner at Provenio Litigation LLP, was last night named as the region’s Outstanding Lawyer at the Liverpool Law Society Awards 2023.

The Liverpool Law Society Awards highlight the talent, diversity and skill across the Merseyside region and beyond. The competition has been fierce with a record number of nominations submitted in 2023, with entries from individuals, teams, firms, chambers and other organisations across the whole spectrum of its membership.

In addition to Emma’s win, Provenio Litigation LLP was also shortlisted for the Law Firm Award (1-99 employees).

Commenting on Emma’s win, Mark Goodwin, founder and managing partner at Provenio Litigation LLP said: “Huge congratulations to Emma. In addition to being an outstanding litigator, she is playing an increasingly important part in the ongoing development of the firm. This recognition is well deserved.”

Said Emma Charnock: “I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to have won the Outstanding Lawyer of the Year award at the Liverpool Law Society Awards. This recognition wouldn't have been possible without the incredible team at Provenio Litigation LLP. The awards and the various winners and shortlisted lawyers are a testament to the incredible work that is going on in and around the Liverpool City Region.”

Provenio Litigation LLP was launched in 2019 by a team of senior lawyers from DLA Piper to advise on high value and complex business litigation. Led by Mark Goodwin (Hall of Fame, Legal 500) the team has decades of experience at DLA Piper and is well placed to support clients across the UK and internationally.

The firm has successfully implemented its growth strategy by attracting high value instructions, breaking into new areas of work, growing the business through a ground-breaking £50 million litigation funding agreement and investing in the future through the launch of a new graduate solicitor apprenticeship programme.
