Provenio Litigation LLP is proud to announce that it has formally signed the Law Society Pro Bono Charter.

The Pro Bono Charter provides a framework for law firms and solicitors to demonstrate their commitment to pro bono work. As a signatory, Provenio Litigation LLP pledges to actively support access to justice by contributing meaningful pro bono legal assistance, encouraging lawyers within the firm to undertake pro bono work and embedding pro bono practice into its culture and values.

One such initiative involves supervising pro bono appointments at Liverpool John Moores University Legal Advice Centre, with associates Jack Enright, Lucy Baker and Flynn Saturley leading the firm’s efforts.

“We are delighted to sign the Law Society Pro Bono Charter,” said Hannah Catterall, partner at Provenio Litigation LLP. “Over the past twelve months, we have been laying the foundations for a sustainable pro bono programme, engaging with key external networks including the National Pro Bono Centre, Pro Bono Connect and local university law clinics. This has helped us to understand best practice across the sector and identify where we can offer meaningful and effective support.”

Looking to the future, Hannah added:

“Over the coming year, our focus will be on developing a structured and sustainable pro bono programme. This will include introducing a clear internal framework and formal pro bono policy, piloting our partnership with Liverpool John Moores University Legal Advice Centre, and continuing to identify opportunities through Pro Bono Connect where our expertise can have the greatest impact. We will also implement a system to monitor and celebrate the hours contributed by our team, enabling us to track progress and deliver fully on our commitments.”
