Hat-trick of award nominations for Provenio Litigation LLP
Updated: Feb 22
Provenio Litigation LLP has been shortlisted for a hat-trick of accolades at the inaugural Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards.
The firm has been shortlisted for Boutique Law Firm of the Year award with Provenio Founder and Managing Partner Mark Goodwin shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year (Dispute Resolution) and Partner Emma Charnock shortlisted for the Rising Star award (Dispute Resolution).
The Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards recognise the lawyers, law firms and in-house legal departments setting the pace in the region, providing a platform to celebrate their achievements over the last 18 months.
The shortlists and winners have been determined based on The Legal 500's market leading independent research for the annual UK Solicitors Guide.
Commenting on Provenio's nominations, Mark Goodwin, who is ranked in the Legal 500’s Hall of Fame, said:
“We are delighted to be shortlisted in the Legal 500’s Northern Powerhouse Awards.
“When we launched the firm in 2019, our vision was to create the premier business litigation boutique outside London, using a team that all formerly worked together at DLA Piper in Liverpool.
“We have successfully implemented this strategy by attracting high value instructions, breaking into new areas of litigation, growing the business through a ground-breaking £50 million litigation funding agreement and investing in the future of the firm through the launch of a new graduate solicitor apprenticeship programme."
Added Mark: "I would particularly like to congratulate Emma Charnock who has been recently made a Partner at the firm and fully deserves this recognition."
Provenio’s success in being shortlisted at the Northern Powerhouse Awards follows on from the firm winning the Outstanding Team Award (Litigation) at last month’s Liverpool Law Society Awards.
The Legal 500's Northern Powerhouse Awards take place on Thursday 2 March 2023 at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.
