Provenio Litigation LLP has been shortlisted for the prestigious Boutique Law Firm of the Year accolade at the Legal Business Awards 2025.

The Legal Business Awards celebrate the very best in the legal profession in the UK and are widely recognised as the leading awards in the industry.
According to Legal Business, the Boutique Law Firm of the Year Award “will be handed to a niche practice that has performed exceptionally in terms of rapidly establishing itself, approaching its chosen market creatively and effectively competing against far larger competition”.
This year’s awards, which take place at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 30 September, will be hosted by award-winning comedian Katherine Ryan. Provenio founder and managing partner Mark Goodwin and partners Hannah Catterall and Emma Charnock will be attending on the evening.
Commenting on the Provenio’s shortlisting, Mark Goodwin said:
“When we launched the firm in 2019, our vision was to create the premier business disputes practice outside London, specialising in high value and complex cases.
“Over the last 6 years, we have successfully implemented this strategy by attracting high value instructions, breaking into new areas of work, providing innovative litigation funding arrangements, building an outstanding team and investing in the leaders of tomorrow.”
Provenio has attracted external recognition through a range of rankings and industry awards.
Ranking Provenio in Tier 1 for the fifth year in succession, The Legal 500 2025 said the firm was the “preeminent litigation boutique in the North-West but with the firepower to go toe to toe with any litigation practice nationally”. Describing Provenio’s culture, The Legal 500 added that: “The firm was set up by former DLA lawyers and the Big Law DNA still runs through the new firm combined with the entrepreneurial mindset and agility of a boutique practice.”
In the individual rankings, founder Mark Goodwin took his annual place in The Legal 500’s Hall of Fame, with Hannah Catterall and Emma Charnock both named as Next Generation Partners.
